Singapore just added Tamil language as the selective menu in the ATM. But, in Malaysia the fight to add Tamil in ATM continues. The voice of various NGO had gone to a deaf ear. Besides that, not even a single bank in Malaysia were owned by Malaysian Indians.
But do you know that the first Asian banker in British colonial history is a Tamilan. Yap! BastianPillai Paul Nicholas a Ceylon Tamil became first person of Asia origin to open a bank in Malaya (Malaysia) by founding the Oriental Bank of Malaya.
